IABER Capital was invited to attend OKX's Pizza Day event, joining industry partners to look back on the industry's early days and discuss future direction. The company's investment specialist, Orane, attended as the representative.
Pizza Day traces back to May 22, 2010, when an early-day programmer completed the world's first recorded exchange of a digital asset for a real-world good — paying 10,000 tokens for two pizzas, a milestone marking the industry's shift from theory to real-world application. Since then, May 22 each year has been celebrated as Pizza Day in honor of that pioneering spirit.
As an investment institution active in the secondary trading market, IABER's invitation to the event reflects both an alignment with the industry's founding spirit and a wish to use the occasion as a bridge to deepen cooperation, contributing to the steady growth of the digital ecosystem.
